We are seeing a rapid change in the career outlook for theology professionals. However, the story on the educational front is quite different. In the US, 31,364 students graduated from theology degree programs in 2006. And in 2010, 33,095 students graduated from theology schools.

This represents a 6% change in 4 years. This growth in the number of students graduating from theology courses is less than the 12% growth nationally for students graduating from institutions of higher learning in general.
