We are seeing a rapid change in the career outlook for nutrition professionals. However, the story on the educational front is quite different. In 2006, 8,734 students graduated from nutrition degree programs in the US. In 2010, 12,109 students graduated from nutrition schools.

This represents a 39% change in the number of graduates. This growth in the number of students graduating from nutrition courses is greater than the 12% growth nationally for students graduating from institutions of higher learning in general.
