Wendy, I am so touched and inspired by you and your daughter's story. This is a perfect example of why this is the most exciting time to be in education - the roles of teacher and student are constantly being exchanged. By the way, I am also a math teacher who had been at this a while before flipping, and there is no going back for me either. If you're on twitter (and if you're not, I'm sure Stacey will fix that soon!) I will follow you.

I am a retired teacher and I see the merit in this concept. I would much rather help a student practice and apply the lesson than use our time together to give the lesson.

And what do you use for instruction material? Khan? Or do you have the students actually read the book on their own and come to class prepared?
