LAUSD: Pay cuts a must to avoid layoffs

Los Angeles Unified officials said Tuesday that if the district's unions want to avoid up to 6,300 layoffs this summer, they will have to agree to concessions that include pay cuts of 10 percent and taking 12 furlough days over the next two years.
