Thirty percent of charter schools have closed since 1992 due to lagging performance, so this seems like a perfect time to take a harder look at how good charter schools really are instead of just continuing to make it easier to open more and more of these schools of dubious usefulness. These schools do nothing but dupe parents into committing their kids to something that won't help them succeed.
