		<description>Julia, as a private school owner, but someone with an open mind, this is a brilliant article.  I will say that the schools I have worked in prior to starting Ruby Christian either gave the kids the ITBS or the Stanford 10 every spring; perhaps there are other private schools that do not do so, but I know of some that do offer comparable standardized testing to public schools.

  That said, I agree with all three of your mandates.  At this point, I as owner would gladly accept the per-pupil money, lottery system,  and greater accountability in exchange for more students at our school.  We believe that we have a solid program here at RCS that can benefit many styles of learning.  A voucher system like the one you propose would help not just us but the community at large.</description>
