We are seeing a rapid change in the career outlook for educational leadership professionals. However, the story on the educational front is quite different. In the year 2006 there were 57,483 students who graduated from educational leadership degree programs across the country, while in the year 2010, there were 64,654 students graduating from educational leadership schools.

This represents a 12% change in the number of graduates. The growth nationally for students graduating from institutions of higher learning in general has been 12% from 2006 to 2010. Thus, the growth in the number of students graduating from educational leadership courses is less than the change in the number of students graduating in all disciplines in the US.
