TOUCH TANK FOR KIDS PROVIDING MATCHING FUNDS FOR AMERICA'S SCHOOLS MARINE ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
Friday, October 7 , 2005

BIDDEFORD, ME - October 5, 2005 - Touch Tanks for Kids is an all volunteer, grass roots, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the education of marine environmental sciences in the school system. Touch Tanks for Kids provides matching funds for schools where children have become actively involved in the local fundraising so that their classroom may acquire a Touch Tank complete with a flexible teaching curriculum.

A Touch Tank is a long lasting (15-20 years), child friendly, aquatic research and teaching tool. By effectively bringing the marine environment indoors, a generation of students of all ages can experience and appreciate the beauty and magic of the earth's eco-system and discover the complexity of the symbiotic relationships that
helps keep the earth's environment in balance.

The Touch Tanks ever changing environmental lessons energize and excite learning and teaching in both children and teachers alike. No amount of literature can substitute for the actual recreation of the ocean's environment within a classroom. In effect, Touch Tanks for Kids brings the ocean to the kids.

Touch Tanks for Kids matches up to half the amount ($3,500.00) of the cost of a new Touch Tank and also assists the children's school in their fundraising endeavor.

In order to continue providing matching funds, Touch Tanks for Kids kindly requests support in the form of donations from individuals, small businesses and large corporations across America.

Educators interested in a matching grant or those interested in making a rewarding donation may visit http://www.touchtanksforkids.org or by calling 877-KID-TANKS.
