Presagis and the VIP board will help to ensure students are knowledgeable about industry trends, needed skill sets and best practices.
"Our goal is to prepare students not only for the job they want today, but for the career they'll have 10 years from now," said Tim McLaughlin, Head of the Department of Visualization. "To accomplish this we must tap into the expertise offered by industry leaders such as Presagis. The technology changes so fast that teaching the tools doesn't work. We strive instead to teach innovative thinking coupled with practical skills. That's why partnering with Presagis is so important. They think this way every day on every project. They know where the technology is headed and will help us prepare our students for any career path they choose in digital visualization."
As a VIP board member Presagis will participate with faculty, students, staff and other selected industry leaders in regular meetings to offer its insights and experiences. Other VIP board members include leading animated film and visual effects studios.
