A research program at Cleveland State University known for serving up statistics on employment and foreclosures is the latest casualty of the tough economic times.

The Ohio Urban University Program, based in CSU's Levin College of Urban Affairs, lost its funding in Gov. Ted Strickland's two-year, $51-billion budget.

The program had conducted research and served up statistics for local communities and the state government for free or at below-market rates since 1979. Over the last few decades, it had become a storehouse of data on employment and foreclosures.
