Improving Student Achievement in Chicago

WCER researchers are helping the Chicago Community Trust develop plans and assessment instruments for its Education Program. The Trust provides charitable resources in the arts, community and economic development, health and wellness, and social services. Its Education program works to improve student achievement. Building on work done in 2001–2006, Chris Thorn and Steve Kimball have received funding to continue the collaboration. Their work helps the Trust's Education Program officers and committees improve consistency in evaluation reporting and helps in synthesizing effects across the grant portfolio.
