PHILADELPHIA – They say politics makes strange bedfellows. It turns out education does, too.

U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan, the Rev. Al Sharpton and Republican former House Speaker Newt Gingrich begin a nationwide "listening and learning" tour in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

The trio will visit a pair of city schools, where they will discuss President Barack Obama's education reform initiatives with students, teachers, administrators and parents.

Other scheduled tour stops include New Orleans on Nov. 3 and Baltimore on Nov. 13.
