Fern Creek's freshman academy will help students along in their first year

Officials at Fern Creek High are determined this school year to get more freshmen on course to start their second year as sophomores. Fern Creek is one of eight Jefferson County public high schools starting freshman academies this year. They join six others started in recent years.
