Auditors identified 10 state school employees, including nine direct care workers, that were listed in a state misconduct registry as unemployable due to prior acts of abuse and neglect. Only after their names were brought to the agencys attension, all were fired.Texas SchoolWatch has infomation that most of the employees were on that list for years. We see many cases where the State of Texas is failing to protect Students from known or possible danger.

SchoolWatch is now looking into Texas schools to see where much needed Improvment can be made.State ed has to do a much better job, SchoolWatch has information that some abusers were still school Employees after more than one report of abuse was filed.
(we find this to be very sad) This is Negligence and the State and LEA should be held liable for the acts of any Teacher that has a history of past abuse and remains on State or district payroll .

This has to stop and stop now !

SchoolWatch is now working with the texas media and some state and local officials and asking for Legislative reform and a possible investigation to see what went wrong. The goal is to improve child safety.

We need our State and local goverment to step up and protect our children from abuse and neglect.
